Are you bringing your dog to Poynton Show?
If so, why not enter our Novelty Pet Show. This is a fun and completely informal competition with no pre-show preparation needed.
The novelty pet show began in 2007, when we were unable to have any livestock at the show, due to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease and has remained a small part of the show ever since.
Show to start at 1pm
The Schedule for Classes are: –
Class 1 – Prettiest Bitch
Class 2 – Most Handsome Dog
Class 3 – Dog who the judge would like to take home.
Class 4 – Dog who most looks like their owner
Class 5 – Waggiest Tail
Class 6 – Best Young Handler [under 14’s]
Class 7 – Best Trick
The winner of each class, will then be entered into the “Supreme Dog” at Poynton Show 2025.

Poynton is situated 11 miles south-southeast of Manchester, 7 miles north of Macclesfield, and 5 miles south of Stockport.
Poynton Show ground is a short, level walk from Poynton Town centre or a 30 minute walk from Poynton Rail Station
There are a variety of independent Bed & Breakfast hotels around Poynton, as well as a Travel Lodge a short drive along the B5092 towards Macclesfield.
